Cute or creepy?

So the other night I woke up at about 3 am to Ella humming in her sleep. Actually, I don't know if she was asleep or not, but I didn't walk in her room to find out because if she was awake, I didn't want her to see me. If she saw me, I just knew she would then want me to pick her up and take her into our room. Anyway, at first I thought it was cute and then I kind of got a creepy feeling, like the hairs on my neck were standing straight up. Ella has NEVER hummed in her sleep before, let alone in the middle of the night. All of the sudden I felt like I was in an eerie movie, like if I walked in there, Ella would just stare at me humming her song. Silly right? I know...I have an overactive imagination. Great! Ella probably will too. Lucky me! She only hummed for about 5 minutes and then was asleep again. Anyway, I just thought I would share. What do you think, cute or creepy?
So I tried to have Ella's 2 year pictures taken today and she was not having it. Ella is a bit of a shy child when she is in a new place or doesn't know you, and a lot of the time she freaks out in new places and cries . Well, that is exactly what she did and I tried to calm her down for 20 minutes with no luck, so we left. I guess we'll try again in a few weeks. She looked so cute though, that I had to at least take some pics of her myself, so that is what you will see below. She was in a fabulous mood the rest of the day. Go figure!
I love her smile in this picture.

Random stuff

I have some random pics here. The first three are of Ella and my sweet nieces, Hannah and Kaity. I can rarely get photos of all three of them together, let alone with all of them looking at the camera! A miracle indeed! They look so cute together.

Below are some pics of Ella's new pool she got for her birthday from her MeMe and PawPaw. Needless to say she loves it!

And these pics are from Father's Day. Ella is giving her daddy a little well deserved love.
Giving her Grandpa some sugars!
My brother Jake came in town from Santa Barbara, California just for Ella's birthday. How sweet is that!?
Ella playing with her Uncle Jake
And this is us at the rodeo.....totally random, but I thought I'd throw it in there. She sat in my lap for an hour and a half. She loved watching the animals.

This was our week in nutshell! Later tater!

My baby is 2!

I can't believe my little baby girl is 2! Where does the time go? We had her party at a local park near our house that has a splash pad and a playground. Too bad the splash pad only worked for the first 10 minutes we were there! I was so disappointed that the stupid thing wouldn't work. At least I got a few pictures of Ella playing in the water before it went ca-put. We tried calling the city to see what the deal was, but of course there was no answer. Oh well...we still had a good time with the playground, cake, ice cream and presents. Thank you to everyone who came to the party!
The Birthday Girl in Birthday Pigtails! She wanted to play in the water so bad when we got there. She got about 10 minutes of water time before it broke.
Greeting her buddy Sofia

Running around in the water

No fear!

She's ready for cake!
Isn't this cake pretty?!! I just love Creative Memories cakes. They're so delicious and they do such a fabulous job decorating . If you look real close in the top right hand corner, you can see where Ella had a little taste test. Stinker!

We got Ella her first tricycle. Now she just needs to learn to ride it.

Ella had a great birthday party, but I still wish the stinkin' splash pad would have worked....but what can you do? I still can't believe my stinker is 2.

Myrtle Beach- A Rawls' Family Trip!

Day one: Operation Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
This pic was taken at about 6:30 am. Ella had been awake since 4:30 am and she was so tired. The first flight was to Charlotte, NC and Ella did great for the first 2 hours of the trip. She had a minor meltdown for about 5 minutes and then she was okay. Gotta love snacks and Barney!
This was the second leg of the trip. A 40 minute flight to Myrtle Beach. She slept the whole way. Thank goodness! We arrived at about 2:00 pm and spent the rest of the day getting settled in, hanging out at the pool, and going to dinner.
Day 2 -The Beach
She is seriously thinking about going into the water.

There she goes!

Checking it out!
Cute little tushy!
I just love her hat!

My child has no fear!
This one is my favorite picture from the whole trip!
Little baby belly
I love it when she holds Daniel's hand. So sweet!
Here it comes!

She does NOT like to pose for pictures.

Beach Babes! Haha!

Ella, Hannah, and Aunt Mako
She loves playing in the sand too. I don't think there was a thing that she didn't like about the beach except that she wanted to do everything her way or no way.
Day 3: The water park
Having a snack.
Playing in the wave pool with Daddy and Hannah.

Checking it out.

Nap time! At first she wasn't sure about it, but she was so tired she just finally gave in and fell asleep.
Tired girl
And she's out! She slept for 1 and a half hours...at the water park....surrounded by all kinds of noise! I couldn't believe it!

This is the only family pic I got while we were out there. Ella wasn't looking, but I'll take what I can get.

She really liked the slide.

Day 4: The Beach again

Playing with PawPaw
A night out!
My mother-in-law and father-in-law were so kind as to watch all the kids one night and let the "adult" kids go out for a little fun. We went to Senior Frogs and Margaritaville and walked around this place called Broadway on the Beach. It's kind of like Coney Island. It was really cool and we had a great time.

Me and Daniel
The Rawls' kids, Daniel, Josh, and Krystal
The girls! "Sisters" Krystal, me, and Mako
The boys! "Brothers" Daniel, Ben, and Josh

We didn't get crazy or anything, but we did have fun!
Playing a little ski ball

And the night came to a close with Josh playing a little Dance Revolution. It was quite entertaining!
Day 5
This was the only picture I got that day. We spent part of the day shopping, and part of the day at the pool.
I just think this is a pretty picture of Ella. I took it before we went to dinner that night.

Day 6- Our last day :( So sad!
We spent part of the day at the beach, part of the day at the pool, and then went and played mini golf. It was a great way to end our vacation.

It was humid and hot that day, so the pics came out a little foggy.
She couldn't get enough of this. Again, no fear!

Cheese!

One last dip in the water with mommy.
Ella and Hannah buried Daniel in the sand.

Isn't my husband handsome?

Mini golf! Ella just liked to put the ball right in the hole. She thought it was the coolest thing.

Ella and Hannah. I could kick myself for not getting a pic with all three girls. Dadgumit!
We had such a great time, but we are very glad to be home.
