Lost Pines Resort- Bastrop, TX

We had a wonderful time at the resort last week! I sooooooooooooo want to go back, but bring more people with us next time. I highly recommend this place for anyone, but especially if you have kids. This is the kid-friendliest place I've ever been to as far as resorts go. Ella thought that we lived at the hotel. It was funny!
Here we are the first morning at the resort. They do carriage rides around the hotel!

Playing at the park

Time to swim! This little pool was only 1 1/2 feet deep and this is where we spend a lot of our time because Ella could swim and Daniel and I could easily watch without worrying of she was going to drown.

Every night they had a movie on the big lawn. We saw Bolt and Dumbo. We were too tired to make it the other nights. It was so neat and the weather in the evening was perfect, warm with a little breeze.

She LOVES to go underwater!

A ride in the elevator. We did lots of that. We were on the third floor.

Dinner in Bastrop. I love her eyes in this pic, but you can tell she was tired.

And I threw this pic in so you could see Ella's pretty princess bed. Isn't it soooooooooooo cute!

3rd Birthday and First Haircut!

Our Miracle
Daniel and I prayed so hard for this little one to come into our lives, and we have been blessed since the moment we finally found out we were pregnant. It makes me want to cry when I think about how happy I was the day Ella was born. I can't even put it into words. It makes me a little sad that she is growing up so fast, but at the same time I can't wait to see what new things she is going to learn and discover.

Third Birthday

Let the party begin!

There is nothing better than kiddie pools, brisket, hot dogs, cup cakes and homemade ice cream all together in one place. We had a great turn out for Ella's 3rd birthday party. Thanks to everyone who came! I still can't believe she is 3. It's been the best, most rewarding 3 years of my life. Daniel and I are so blessed to have this little girl in our lives, and we thank God every day for her.

Water balloons!

Presents!

Eating with cousins and friends

Blowing out her #3.

Helping papaw put her bed together. You can see some evidence of a cup cake.

My BFF Rebecca. She even brought Ella a cake!

My brother, Jake and I

I forgot all about the birthday hats until the end of the party. Oh well, at least we got a picture with them on.

The Birthday Girl

Ooooooops! That one got in there twice. Just a little more cuteness for you to see!

Us!

Poor Daniel worked his tail off the entire time. A few days before the party, the left side of our fence blew down in the storm and Daniel and our neighbor spent most of Friday afternoon (in the sweltering heat) building a new fence. Have I ever mentioned that he is the best husband in the world! ?!? I really mean that!

Her new princess bed, but it's not complete yet. We still need to put up the canopy and I am in the process of making her a toddler blanket. Stay tuned for pics!

And CRASH!!!!! What a long day!

June 15th. Ella's Birthday Day!

We started the day with a cup cake of course and then it was off to the doctor for Ella's 3 year check up. She was in between the 10th and 15th % for weight and the 15th and 20th% for height. Her projected height as an adult will be 5 ft 1in. Surprise, surprise!!!! She is right on track.

Then we set off to get her first hair cut!

Ella's First Hair cut!!!!! Sweet and Sassy :)

This is the neatest little place for little girls to get their hair cut. Ella had a fabulous time!

Gorgeous!

My pretty princess

Then a little birthday lunch with mommy and daddy at Uncle Julios

Ella,
Mommy and Daddy love you more than you will ever know. You bring more joy to our lives than we ever thought possible. We love your sneeky little grin, giggles and cries. We can't wait to see you grow and learn new things everyday, but don't grow up too fast. You will always be our baby. We love you forever.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
